It is almost time to go on our first troop overnight. We will be sleeping indoors at the Escondido Program Center. We will be leaving on Friday, January 15th and returning on Saturday, January 16th. We only have 1 more meeting to finalize our plans before our trip. Please try to have your daughter attend the meeting on Jaunary 8th so she can be part of the planning.
Please contact me if you have any questions. The girls will be bringing home a packing list for the overnight.
Until our trip~

Veteran's Day Assembly

The troop did an awesome job today at the assembly. We received a lot of complements on a job well done! Great job today! I did not get pictures of the girls during the flag ceremony. I know there were a lot of parents at the assembly, so if you have a good picture that you are willing to share...please e-mail them to me and I will post them.
Way to go!

Veteran's Day Ceremony
We were invited to participate in the Veteran's Day Flag Ceremony at school on Friday, November 6th. I am so excited about this invitation!!! Our girls will dress in uniform, and perform the flag ceremony for the Veterans when they come to the school that day. This event will take place during school and they tell me that the multipurpose room is packed!
Since our troop has not performed a flag ceremony yet, we will need to practice! At our get together on October 30th, we will practice the flag ceremony also. The girls will also meet to practice during school on November 4th and 5th. I will be there to guide them through the practice.
Lip Sync Outing
We will be participating in the Lip Sync that the service unit is organizing. It will be on Friday, November 13th from 6-7pm. Be sure to save the date.
So we will need to have an additional get together to practice our routine. Friday, October 30th we will meet after school in the Multipurpose Room for our practice. We will rehearse again at our November 6th meeting and then perform the following Friday.
Please let me know if your daughter will not be attending the Lip Sync!

Meeting Reminder
Hello Troop!
Friday is our meeting and we will be constructing our scarecrow! Remember to bring your scarecrow item to school with you on Friday. If you were not assigned an item, bring either: stuffing (newspaper, leaves, straw/hay) or something to help secure the scarecrow together (string, wire, rubber bands, etc.). Our scarecrow's theme is a Brownie Girl Scout!
Parents, if you are available, we could use your help on Friday.
Lastly, be sure to sign up as a follower to our blog and you will automatically receive the updates as I post them!

Birthday Thank You!
Thank you to everyone for my plant and birthday card! I absolutely love it. Sometimes it is the small things that really mean the most...it really made my day!
Thank You!
Thank You!
Scarecrow
We will be constructing our own scarecrow to display at the Halloween Carnival! Our scarecrow's theme is a Brownie Girl Scout. At our last meeting, everyone selected an item to bring to create our scarecrow. If you were not at the meeting or if you will not be attending our next meeting, please call me.
Fall Nut Sales
We are off on our first fundraiser....Girl Scout Nuts! The girls have decided that they want to go to Boomers with the money they earn from the nut sales. Their individual goal is to sell at least 8 cans of nuts. Please remind them to sell only to family, friends and neighbors. They should wear their vests when selling and practice before they go! Have fun.
